Responsibilities:

  • Configuring of AppDynamics as an Application Performance Management (APM) solution for performance diagnostics and monitoring.
  • Planning, supporting and responsible for creating and implementing system monitoring that will drive to improve the performance and reliability.
  • Implement and execute upgrades and patching including verification.
  • Work with the application owners, infrastructure teams, engineering, and architects to analyze requirements and provide recommendations.
  • Working with members of the infrastructure and development teams to gather requirements and design solutions to meet the monitoring needs of new and existing products and services.
  • Apply industry best practices to fine-tuning process and best practices/standards framework activities.
  • Effectively collaborate with business team members to answer questions and clarify expectations around requirements and delivery of functionality.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide ongoing visibility into the performance of client applications.
  • Performing deep dive JVM analysis examining garbage collection logs, heap dumps, and thread dumps as needed.
  • Documenting performance findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls to collect necessary information for issue resolution.
  • Responsible for consistent follow-up and follow-through to ensure that issues are resolved and closed.
  • Ability to work with colleagues in handling problems and request on the phone and face-to-face with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Escalate incidents to responsible parties that include senior technical specialist and vendors.
  • Communicate system issue and incidents to impacted parties by keeping them informed of incident progress, and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
  • Operate and exercise procedures according to established operational policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for defining, refining and maintaining written Knowledge Base Articles for the purposes of transferring knowledge to those who will be tasked with long-term monitoring and maintenance of implemented solutions.
  • Monitor and interpret system events and activity.
  • Prepare and report on trend analysis and overall system health.
  • Collaborate with Level 2 resolution to more complex issues that requires more detailed systems and application knowledge.
  • Monitor and manage all Cases opened with third-party vendors for progress and resolution.
  • Adheres to other defined SOPs as required.
  • Produce management reports to ensure SLAs and KPIs compliance by third-party vendors.

Qualification:

  • Has a bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or business-related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in the IT industry required with experience in the technology field.
  • 2+ years of systems administration experience.
  • Working knowledge in ITIL framework (Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Management, Event Management, Access Management).
  • Two or more years of professional experience in pc/server/network architecture and operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Access, PowerPoint; Basic VB knowledge preferred.
  • Has a professional demeanor and can easily adapt to a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize deliverables to meet deadlines.
