Roles & Responsibilities:
Plan and create new designs post getting concept guidelines for Look of the Season/Special collection/events etc.
Analyze the market and monitor current fashion trends, collections, customer preferences and competitor activities.
Set clearly defined guidelines and plan the design range as per sales budget.
Conceptualization of design concepts with strong focus on color groups / Looks for the season
Ensure precise designs are offered in order to maintain high design success rate and achieve targets.
Lead and provide overall creative direction to the brand by conceptualizing and developing range for different seasons.
Promote new concepts, designs, systems and out of the box thinking for product innovations and processes.
The candidate must be good and well versed with fashion forecast and trend analysis.
The designer is responsible from the conceptualization to the implementation and look of the garment and the collection
Managing design process from conception to final styling within given timelines.
Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
Direct and coordinate workers involved in drawing and cutting patterns and constructing samples or finished garments.
Sketch rough and detailed drawings of apparel or accessories, and write specifications such as color schemes, construction, material types, and accessory requirements.
Identify target markets for designs, looking at factors such as age, gender, and socioeconomic status.
Attend fashion shows and review garment magazines, internet websites and manuals in order to gather information about fashion trends and consumer preferences.
Collaborate with other designers to coordinate special products and designs.
