Role and Responsibilities

  • Front line support for GIS center stakeholders
  • Support day to day operations of GIS center along with other teams
  • Receive and triage GIS user issues
  • Manage and support operational GIS applications
  • Maintain GIS user access database, including licensing, and data access
  • Maintaining and updating the spatial data infrastructure (SDI) for the storage of geospatial data layers in a centralized regional repository
  • Updating data layers in the SDI/SDE following the corporate guidelines of spatial data management
  • Supervise the collection, data structuring and archiving of geographic information.
  • Manage the GIS servers in coordination with the GIS Administrator and IT as required
  • Documentation of Technical Requirements and preparation of technical reports as required

Skills / Experience

  • (Minimum) 3 years in and related role of Enterprise GIS support analyst
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology such as SQL Server or Oracle
  • Understanding of modern development patterns and architectures
  • Experience in Web mapping technologies and virtualized environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture

Technologies / Tools Knowledge

  • SQL, Python, .NET, ArcGIS Model Builder and other spatial data processing tools
  • Esri, Geocortex and other GIS product architectures/Suites
  • Database environments like MS SQL Server, Oracle, SAP
  • Autodesk product suite management for licensing

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • (minimum) Bachelor in GIS/Geomatics/IT/IS or equivalent
  •  (Desirable) ESRI Certification (Developer, Enterprise) and FME Desktop professional

Other (Useful) Skillsets:

  • ITIL or other service management frameworks
