Project communications specialists work in a small teams to design and deliver strategic communications for technology projects and initiatives. The role will work closely with other communications professionals across our Technology Communications, Business Enablement Communications, the wider Communications and Engagement team and the BMC network.
This role will support our vision of providing integrated, seamless and secure tools for all our people. It will be responsible for creating communications for global deployments of various tools that help our people work better including Skype for business, Win 10, and others. The role will be required to maintain daily availability, via email and Skype for Business, up to 12:00 PM EST (5:00 PM UTC) to attend project team calls.

Essential Functions of the Job:
Support the communications needs for assigned projects through targeted and measurable communications collateral – this can include both developing communications toolkits that are delivered through the local communication teams and materials that are delivered by our Technology through project communication channels.
Liaise with project team members to understand items that may impact
communications timing, messaging, or content.
Execute a communications plan that integrates/aligns with the overall our Technology communications strategy and framework
Develop and deliver key messages and any detailed plans
Manage the detailed tactical communication plan ensuring input from all work streams
Ensure all local and regional legal requirements are considered in the development and delivery of the communications plan
Manage key project stakeholders to ensure they are kept informed and advocate the communication plan
Proactively engage with project / program managers to support communication needs of the project, as necessary.
Ensure that communications are timely, accurate, and engaging
Ensure consistent messaging across all customers while integrating core IT messaging as appropriate
Effectively measure, through formal and informal mechanisms, the communication activities and make any changes necessary to ensure they are landing well.
Knowledge, Competency and Skill Requirements:
Ability to work in a complex, rapidly changing environment
Proven communication experience of working on major enterprise-wide change programs, preferably within a large organization
Proven capability to understand the business agenda and proactively translate this into high quality, strategic, creative communication interventions which are appropriate, relevant and engaging to the audience.
Understands IT and can communicate about it from our non-technical audience’s perspective
Professional competence, influencing skills and gravitas required to provide high level communications leadership, with the ability to influence senior, demanding stakeholders.
Excellent project management skills with experience in delivering project
communications.
Examples of quality delivery across multiple mediums, including, print, intranet, events, and presentation.
Determination to support activities through to successful execution and the ability to manage the right resources to deliver results

Education:
Bachelor/Undergraduate caliber, with professional or higher qualification in CIM, PR, Internal Communication or Corporate Communication desirable
Experience:
Broad brand, marketing and communications experience in a world-class global organization
Experience of executing the communications within major change/ transformation programs
Excellent copy writing and editing skills, strong attention to detail
Highly creative with the ability to develop and deliver credible ideas for content
Strong project management and organizational skills
