Duties and Responsibility

We are looking for a Localization Project Coordinator in Chennai. 

In this role, you will manage the work and coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers. Daily work requires the management of linguistic, technical and visual quality and coordination with client staff.

Responsibilities:

● Manages localization projects from beginning to end, working closely with language specialists, localization engineers, terminologists, product management and development, internal business partners and external vendors and other departments

● Develops project plans and workflows, managing time, budget, resources and quality control

● Following analysis of client specific localization software application requirements, creates and manages internal version of localization project plans, and provides project specific education and coaching to Localization Tester staff 10%

● Creates and controls localization project budgets, performs cost tracking analysis, ensures timely issuance of purchase orders and invoices and approves work reports

● Assigns, monitors and measures project team members’ work. Manages team’s compliance with standards, practices and policies

● Directing team’s deliveries to timelines and product quality, including responsiveness and professionalism towards both internal and external clients

● Leads project/client/business partner meetings and conference calls, including project kick-off meetings, weekly and ad-hoc, issue solves and performs post-mortems, while ensuring meetings are recorded and minutes distributed, manages the delivery of agreed upon active items

● Continually expands knowledge and education in localization trends and news, keeping up to date through active participation in training opportunities

● Excellent presentation/communication skills, with the ability to clearly present the localization life-cycle to clients

● Should have worked with Joomla, Drupal and any other CMS

● Should have experience in e-commerce, website as well as mobile app localization

● Organizational and leadership skills

● Proficiency in translation memory tools (Trados, SDLX) are required

● Hands on experience with Globalization Management Systems, such as WorldServer and SDL TMS

● Solid understanding of database concepts and data manipulation

● Strong understanding of statistical analysis

● Ability to create macros or other task automations a big plus

● Advanced Excel skills a big plus (formulas, pivot tables, macros, lookup tables, etc.)

● Proven ability to prepare and execute effective product management plans and strategies

● Proven ability to work simultaneously on many projects and priorities which can and do change frequently

● Demonstrate expertise with Microsoft products and other applicable software or applications

● Strong presentation skills are a plus
